Last weekend I got to go home for Easter and Conference. It was so nice to be around family on such a holiday. Thank you mom and dad for letting me come home! I loved every minute of it. Here are some things we did:
Family Easter party - (pics below) We had a yummy dinner, an easter egg hunt, egg relay, fish pond, and a cupcake walk. To top it all off, the weather was gorgeous so we spent most of our time in the backyard!!Saturday morning we woke up and watched General Conference. With Sunday being Easter, we had our coffee cake on Saturday, another reason I'm glad I got to go home :) Then that evening while the boys went to Priesthood, the girls went to Hannah's and played there. Thanks Hannah for letting us come over!!!
Then on Sunday, after Conference, family came over and we had our Easter dinner. Unfortunately I had to leave in a hurry because I had to catch my flight back to Utah, but nonetheless, it was wonderful to be home for at least part of the day!!
For my Meal Management class, we were awarded extra credit if we set the table for Easter dinner. Obviously, I took that oppoortunity, and this is what I came up with. (Thank you mom for having this stuff around your house!!!)

Vans.....and a soccer game
Last week I went with Britt and Chris to watch our friend, Andie, play in her indoor soccer game. Andie's amazing at soccer and sometimes it makes me wish I could play, but then I remember back in elementary school when I played on a soccer team and had no clue what was ever going on during our games. So maybe it's okay that I've stuck with simply going to the gym and running....
While we were watching her, I was distracted by my shoes. My shoes seem to distract me alot, simply because I love shoes. That day I decided to snap a quick picture of them, the red background was just too perfect. Okay, enough about shoes, back to the game....it was a fun time! Later that night we made no bake cookies with everyone and watched Dan In Real Life. Unfortunately, there were no pictures taken. Another time, another time...

dan the man...the handyman.
Let me just name a few things he has done for us while he's in town...
Fixed the sink in the basement
Changes air filters
Added soft water system
Changes lights
Hangs blinds
Hauls trash to the dumpsters
Waxes cars
Changes windshield wipers
Hangs fans
Changes light switches
Unclogs drains
Adds weather stripping to the bottom of doors (i think that's what they're called)
Takes down trees
Plants new trees
Hangs pictures, very straight I might add
Hangs mirrors so I can see the back of my hair
Puts up sensor lights so I can feel safe at night
And the list goes on....

spring is just around the corner...or so i thought.
Here's the kicker...although I didn't get any pictures, just last night we had a snow storm. So typical. Just when I thought spring was around the corner, the Utah weather surprised us with a little tease of a snow storm. However, it's my lucky day, because it has all melted.
Maybe spring really is just around the corner!

urgent care...my home away from home
Well for about the third time in a year's worth I have been diagnosed with Strep Throat. It seems as though Strep always comes at the most inconvenient times. Let's go back about 7 months. This past summer while staying in North Carolina I got to visit the Urgent Care and be diagnosed with Strep Throat. Spending my vacation in bed, while trying not to infect those around me was not exactly how I wanted to spend my vacation. Then, this past Christmas I was diagnosed in Kauai, Hawaii, in a small Urgent Care. Yet again, not the way I had planned on spending my Christmas, let alone my trip to Hawaii. Then, today, while bombarded with a new job and two new block classes, I have been diagnosed yet again at the Health Center Urgent Care. Oh the joys that come from being sick. Looking on the bright side...I have started my medication and with doctors orders get to stay home today and tomorrow from school, Wahoo!
