So although I am still not a pro seamstress, I'm improving. I have to be honest though, I'm really looking forward to my sewing class coming to an end this semester. I have come to the conclusion that I am going to like sewing as soon as I don't have to be graded on every tiny little detail anymore. Although I'm learning a lot and know these sewing classes have been good for me, I can't wait to sew for fun and not for a grade!!I should just learn to love it, so I guess i'll keep trying...haha! Speaking of sewing for a grade, a couple weeks ago I finished my sweatshirt.

You'll notice my pockets are a little off, which is why you'll see the pin I made in attempt to cover up the mess of un-matching pockets haha.
My next sewing project consisted of halloween costumes. One piece of advice....never sew something (especially a piece of clothing) without a pattern. Luckily my friends were not too picky and I was able to figure out how to sew - what we like to call a 'tube' - for our crayon costumes. Unfortunately, some of the costumes did not fit as we had hoped, but thank goodness for staples, those costumes could be fit to any size, shape, or form of a body, in no time at all!!
We had a fun night and loved going around together as a box of crayons!!!
