This weekend I had the chance to drive up to Rexburg and visit my old friends!!! Ashley was in the 'Best Of' show and I thought it would be fun to see her perform, as well as see my old roomates, Shauna and Kellie!! It was so fun to be there again and reminisce on the good ol' days of these last couple years!!
Not only did I get to go to Rexburg, but then I had the chance to go to conference! A big thanks goes out to Mariel and Dustin for letting me go with them to the Solemn Assembly session. We got to sit as close as I'll probably ever be to the front of the conference center. It was such a neat experience to actually see those that were speaking! Thanks Mariel and Dustin!!!
After that session I met up with Ashley again and we watched the next session at the hotel and then our day continued at the Gateway!! We shopped the night away and after we each found an amazing deal, I converted Ashley to my favorite store, JCrew (which may not be a good thing).
The following morning we woke up quite early to stand in line to see if we could get stand by tickets for the morning session. After hours of waiting in the cold cold weather and making new friends, we were grateful to be let inside to one of the conference theater rooms where we would watch that session of conference. Although we were quite disappointed in not getting into the conference center, I think I can honestly admit we were just excited to warm up by being inside!!!
All in all it was a wonderful weekend and although I did a lot of driving, it was well worth it!!!
Oh yah, and the picture is of me and Ashley on our walk to the Gateway! We couldn't resist taking a 'gangsta' picture by the tagged wall, however, we forgot to be 'gangsta' in the picture and smiled instead!oops!!
