I ventured outside today!

So for the past couple days I have been sick with the flu and have tried to stay in my room, in attempt to keeping everyone else in the house healthy. After staying inside ALL day yesterday, my body needed a bit of 'outsideness' to stay sane. So today I got in my car and drove to the drive thru car wash to cleanse my car of the past few rainstorms. It was beautiful outside. I had almost forgotten what a pretty time of year this is up here. You don't really get a sense of the beauty when you're cooped up in the same room for 24 hours, which is why I needed to get out today, and I'm grateful I did!

Conference weekend...

How blessed we are to have such an amazing prophet and leaders of this church. I love General Conference and am already looking forward to April. This Saturday morning I had some friends over for breakfast while we watched the morning session....

Then we headed up to Salt Lake City where we stayed with Maren's parents for the weekend. It was fun to get out of Provo for a day or two and be in the Salt Lake area for conference!!

Last night us three girls went on a triple date to the haunted house in SLC. Can I just say that haunted houses kind of creep me out. It's those people that get up all close to you and follow you around making weird sounds that get me!!! But it was fun nonetheless! I'd never been on a date with these girls so it was a great time being with them!!

But now it's back to reality and the Sunday blues are kicking in.

A new addiction...

So I have to admit that I have a new addiction, and yes it's another craft. So I mentioned how this week I learned how to make some cute pins and headbands, and I decided to create some more this past friday. I should've been working on homework, but instead I figured it was the weekend, so why not craft??? I went to JoAnns and found some super cheap/sale fabric and a glue gun, and went to work. Here is what I created....I know it's nothing special yet, but I was just experimenting and am loving figuring out how to make these new fun things!!

This blue flower was fun to make. It involved burning the edge of the fabric in order to make it curl up like a rose :)

I think this week I'll work on headbands if time permits! Stay tuned for more pics!

My life....

I'm very content with my life right now. Here are the reasons why...

1. I just finished folding my clean laundry and am now sitting on my bed while listening to NSYNC.

2. I went to kickboxing tonight.

3. I am almost finished with my interior design project.

4. General Conference is this weekend.

5. I'm going to Sandy in the morning for a conference for all the FACS educators instead of going to class!

6. Rochelle and Kelly are coming to stay the weekend with me.

7. I learned some WAY cute ways to make headbands/pins last night at enrichment.

8. I found a new recipe on picky-palate that I loved!

9. Kris Allen has a new single out.

10. I have the best roomates...........

Just wanted to make a shout out to one of my favorite girls!! It's Ashley's birthday today and I wish I could celebrate with her!! Happy birthday girl, love ya!!!!
